matcha tea
So, I tried making that ddv oolong tea, which is something new in the Disney Dreamlight Valley game. They added it in some update called “Lucky Dragon.” Anyway, I figured I’d give it a shot and see what the fuss is about. It’s only a two-star appetizer, so I thought, “How hard can it be?”
First thing I needed was these Oolong Tea Leaves. Apparently, you can only get them from Mulan’s Tea Stall. You’ve gotta do some quest for her, like a friendship quest thing, before you can unlock the stall. Well, after doing what she wanted, I finally got access to the stall and grabbed those tea leaves. They look kinda weird, but whatever, it’s a game, right?
And that’s it! The tea was done. I had my character in the game try it out. They seemed to like it, I guess. It’s just a simple appetizer, nothing fancy. I don’t know what all the hype is about, but at least I can say I made it. I heard the game fully released in December 2023, and there are versions for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and even PC and Mac. It’s a big community thing, so I guess that’s cool.
Honestly, it wasn’t that exciting. Just a basic tea recipe. But hey, it’s something to do in the game, and I like trying out new stuff. If you’re playing Dreamlight Valley and you like collecting stuff or trying all the recipes, you might as well give it a go. Just don’t expect anything mind-blowing.
