Well, howdy there! Let’s gab a bit about this green tea with milk thing. You know, some folks are all about it, and some ain’t. Me? I just drink what tastes good, but I heard some things, and I’ll tell ya what I know.

Is there milk in green tea? Now, that’s a question, ain’t it? Plain green tea, the kind you get from them little leaves, it don’t got no milk in it. It’s just… tea. Like water, but with a taste. But some folks, they like to add things, like milk or sugar. Kinda like how some folks put ketchup on their eggs. To each their own, I say.

  • No milk in the leaves, that’s for sure.
  • Some coffee shops and such, they might mix it in, but then it ain’t just plain green tea no more, is it?

So, why do some folks put milk in their green tea, you ask? Well, I reckon it’s like this. Some folks find green tea a bit bitter. You know, like a lemon that ain’t ripe yet. Milk, it kinda smooths things out, makes it all creamy and nice. It mellows out the bitterness, they say. I tried it once, didn’t taste too bad, but I like my tea straight.

But then I heard some other folks sayin’ that putting milk in your green tea, it ain’t so good. They say it messes with all the good stuff in the tea, the stuff that keeps you healthy. Something about them “ant…antee…oh, heck, I can’t even say it! Those things that fight off the bad stuff in your body, you know? Yeah, them. They say the milk stops them from working right. Makes you wonder, don’t it?

Now, if you’re gonna put milk in your green tea, don’t just go sloshing any old milk in there. Some folks say you gotta use the light stuff, the kind that don’t got much fat in it. I guess it’s like puttin’ lard in your coffee. Just don’t sound right, does it? They say the heavy stuff can make your tea taste kinda…greasy. And nobody wants greasy tea, that’s for sure.

And what about them fancy teas? You know, the ones with the funny names you can’t even pronounce? Well, I heard tell that some of them teas, they ain’t supposed to have milk at all. Like them Dar…Darjeeling teas, or somethin’ like that. They say it ruins the taste. But like I said, to each their own. If you like it, you drink it, I say. Don’t let nobody tell you different.

So, is drinking tea without milk good for you? Well, they say it is. They say it keeps all them “antee…them things” working good, keeping you healthy. And I reckon that makes sense. But then again, a little milk ain’t gonna kill ya, probably. Unless you’re one of them folks who can’t have milk, then you best stay away from it.

And then there’s them other teas, the ones that ain’t really tea at all, like them minty teas or them fruity ones. I reckon you can do whatever you want with them. Put milk in, don’t put milk in, put sugar, honey, whatever you like. Ain’t nobody gonna tell you you’re doin’ it wrong. It’s your tea, ain’t it?

At the end of the day, it’s all about what you like. There ain’t no right or wrong way to drink your tea. If you like milk in your green tea, go for it. If you don’t, that’s fine too. Just make sure it tastes good to you, and don’t worry about what other folks say. That’s my two cents, anyway.

And them scientists, they’re always studyin’ somethin’, ain’t they? I heard they even studied this here milk in green tea thing. Makes you wonder what they’ll study next. Probably how many times a fly flaps its wings in a day, or somethin’ like that.

So there you have it. A whole bunch of jabberin’ about green tea and milk. I hope I made some sense, and didn’t confuse you too much. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go make myself a cup of tea. Just plain tea, mind you. That’s how I like it.
