They got a fancy word for what’s in the tea that does it. Tannin, or somethin’ like that. I heard one of them girls at the market mention it. I reckon if you’re gonna drink that green tea, just be mindful of it. Maybe don’t drink it all day long, every day. And maybe rinse your mouth out with water afterward. That’s what I do when I eat them berries that stain your fingers. Just a good swish of water, and it helps a bit. Might help with the tea stains too.

Anyways, that’s what I heard ’bout that green tea and teeth stains. It seems like it can happen, but maybe not as bad as with some other things. Just somethin’ to keep in mind, I suppose. It ain’t the end of the world if your teeth ain’t sparkly white. But if you’re worried about it, just watch how much green tea you drink. And maybe talk to one of them dentists. They know all about teeth and stains and such.

I remember old man Johnson, he used to chew tobacco somethin’ fierce. Now those teeth, those were stained! Worse than any tea could do, I reckon.
