ginger tea
Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this white tea, the young folks are always gabbin’ about. They say it’s fancy and all, but I gotta tell ya, it ain’t just fancy water, ya know?
Does white tea got that caffeine stuff in it? You betcha it does! Don’t let them fancy names fool ya. Just like coffee, only not as strong I reckon, it’ll perk ya up some. Now, how much of that perk-up stuff it’s got, well, that’s a whole ‘nother story.
See, it ain’t like pourin’ a cup of that instant coffee, where it’s always the same. This white tea, it’s kinda like gardenin’. You got different kinds of plants, right? Some grow tall and strong, some stay small. Same with this tea. Some got more of that caffeine, some got less.
Now, I ain’t no doctor, mind you, but I know what keeps me up at night. Too much of that caffeine, and you’ll be starin’ at the ceilin’ ’til the roosters crow. You’ll be twitchy and jumpy, like a cat on a hot tin roof. So, if you’re plannin’ on gettin’ some shut-eye, maybe skip the white tea before bed. Have some warm milk instead, that’s what my grandma used to say.
They say this white tea is good for ya, somethin’ ’bout “ant-eye-ox-see-dents” or some such nonsense. Sounds like somethin’ you’d spray on bugs, if you ask me. But I guess it’s supposed to keep ya healthy. Still, I say, everything in moderation, like my old man used to say about his whiskey. Too much of anythin’ ain’t good for ya, even if it is fancy white tea.
White tea, it’s a little different from that black tea and green tea too. Black tea, that stuff’s strong, like a stubborn mule. Green tea, it’s kinda in-between. But white tea, it’s more… delicate, I guess you could say. Like a flower, not a weed.
So, there you have it. White tea got caffeine, just like the other teas, just not as much sometimes. You gotta pay attention to what kind you’re drinkin’, how long you’re steepin’ it, and how hot the water is. And don’t go drinkin’ a whole pot of it before bed, unless you wanna count sheep all night. And remember, just because it’s light and tastes fancy, doesn’t mean it won’t keep you up! It’s still got that kick to it, you know.
Now, where did I put my glasses…? Oh, and if you’re looking for a tea to help you sleep, they got special ones for that too. Ask the folks at the store, they’ll know. Me? I’m stickin’ with my warm milk, thank you very much.
