This tea, you know, it’s called Dongding Oolong. Sounds fancy, right? But it ain’t that complicated. It’s just tea, good tea, from what I hear.

They say this Dongding Oolong tea comes from a place called Taiwan. Never been there, but I reckon it’s far. They grow it up on some mountain, high up, where it’s probably cold as a witch’s… well, you know. They call it Frozen Summit, or Icy Peak, or somethin’ like that. Sounds cold, don’t it?

My neighbor, she gave me some of this Dongding tea once. Said it was special. I made a pot, just like I always do. Boiled the water, poured it over them leaves, let it sit a spell. It smelled kinda sweet, like honey, but not exactly. Different, you know?

  • This Dongding tea, it’s an oolong.
  • Oolong is just a kind of tea, I guess.
  • Not black tea, not green tea, somethin’ in between.

Now, I ain’t no tea expert. I just drink what tastes good. And this Dongding Oolong, it was alright. Smooth, kinda like. Not bitter, like some of them cheap teas you get at the store. It went down easy, that’s for sure.

They say this tea, this Dongding, it’s good for you. Don’t know about all that. I just know it warmed me up on a cold day. And that’s good enough for me. They make a big fuss about it, though. They will tell you it’s like a fine wine. Well I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that. All I know it tastes like tea.

They got different kinds, too. This one, the one I had, they called it Dong Ding Mi Xiang. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? They say it’s got a honey flavor, natural like. Grown on that same mountain, I reckon. Dong Ding mountain, in a place called Nantou. That’s in Taiwan, far far away.

Now, I ain’t gonna pretend I know all about this Dongding Oolong tea. I just know what I tasted. And it was alright. Better than some, not as good as others. But if you like tea, you might like it. And if you want somethin’ to warm your bones, it will do the trick, and it’s pretty good for a cold day.

Some folks, they make a big deal about how you gotta brew it just right. Certain kinda pot, certain kinda water, certain amount of time. Me, I just boil the water and pour it over the leaves. Works for me. It is good.

  • They say Dongding Oolong is from Taiwan.
  • They say it grows on a mountain called Dong Ding.
  • They say it’s got a honey flavor, kinda.

I heard tell that this Dong Ding tea is expensive. Don’t know why. It’s just tea. But I guess some folks are willin’ to pay more for somethin’ fancy. Me, I’m happy with my regular tea. It’s not expensive, but it does the trick for me. But this Dongding Oolong, it ain’t bad. If you got the money, maybe you wanna try it. And it’s pretty good on a cold day.

So, that’s all I know about this Dongding Oolong. It’s tea. From Taiwan. Grown on a mountain. Tastes kinda sweet. Might be good for you, might not. Expensive, probably. But it ain’t bad, for a cup of tea. If you want to try it, I think it’s good, you might like it, too.

This Dongding Oolong tea, they say it’s special ’cause of where it’s grown. That mountain, I guess. The air, the soil, the weather. Makes it different, they say. Maybe it does. It did taste different. I don’t know. I just drink it. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ different, somethin’ maybe a little fancy, this might be it. Just don’t expect no miracles, it is still tea. But it is good tea.

You ever tried this Dongding Oolong? If you have, let me know. I’m always up for hearin’ what other folks think. Especially about tea. ‘Cause tea, well, tea is important. At least to me it is. And maybe, just maybe, this Dongding is worth all the fuss. I don’t know. But it’s worth a try, I reckon. It is good.
