herbal tea
Well now, if ya ever found yerself wanderin’ through the valleys of Dreamlight, y’might’ve come across somethin’ called Oolong tea. Now, this ain’t just any tea. It’s a fancy little drink, but don’t worry, I’ll tell ya how to make it and where to get it, all nice and simple. Y’see, Oolong tea comes from Mulan’s Tea Stall, and you gotta help her set it up during her second friendship quest, “A Daily Regime.” Now, ya can place the stall anywhere ya like in the valley, but if ya ask me, Peaceful Meadow’s a good spot—right in the middle and easy to get to.
First thing’s first, if ya wanna make Oolong tea, you gotta get your hands on some of them Oolong tea leaves. They’re sittin’ right there at Mulan’s stall, but don’t expect ‘em to be free. Ya gotta work a bit to unlock the stall first, so ya can buy them leaves. Don’t worry though, once that’s done, Mulan will be happy to sell ya the leaves whenever ya need ‘em. I reckon three at a time is all ya can get, so make sure ya don’t run out!
Now, making the tea ain’t too complicated. Take them Oolong leaves and give ‘em a good rinse with some hot water, just to soften ‘em up a bit. Then, you’ll need a pot, don’t get any funny ideas now, and fill it up with cold water—about twice as much as you got in tea leaves. Put it on the stove, bring it to a boil, and once it starts bubblin’, take it off the heat. Let them leaves steep for ’bout 3 to 5 minutes, no more, no less. Then, strain the tea and pour it out. It’s as simple as that! You’ll have a nice, hot cup of Oolong tea ready to go.
Now, there’s another little secret I’ll share with ya, somethin’ special to add to the flavor. You can throw in some raspberries too! They make the tea taste just a little sweeter, and I reckon it’s worth tryin’. Mix ’em with your Oolong tea leaves, and ya got yourself a two-star appetizer right there in the game. It’s a good treat to enjoy, especially after a long day of workin’ in the valley.
Oolong tea itself comes from China, ya know. The word “Oolong” means “black dragon,” which sounds mighty mysterious, don’t it? But don’t worry, it ain’t as fancy as it sounds. The tea has a smooth, rich flavor that’s just perfect for relaxin’. After you get the hang of makin’ it, you’ll be drinkin’ it every day. And if you’re feelin’ fancy, you can even mix it with a few other things to make different kinds of tea. It’s real versatile, ya see.
Speaking of which, there’s a few other teas ya might wanna try. You got yer jasmine tea leaves, which ya can also get from Mulan’s Tea Stall, though they’re a little different. Jasmine tea’s nice if you want somethin’ a little lighter and flowery, but Oolong? That’s the one that really sticks with ya.
If you’re ever wonderin’ where to find more stuff to make Oolong tea or other recipes in Dreamlight Valley, you gotta keep yer eyes peeled. There’s always somethin’ new to discover, and who knows, ya might find a new ingredient or two while you’re out and about. If ya’re feelin’ like treatin’ yourself, don’t forget about the raspberry bushes around the valley—pick ‘em while you can, they’re perfect for Oolong tea.
So there ya have it, folks! Oolong tea’s real easy to make once ya know how. Just make sure ya got the right ingredients, and ya can enjoy a nice cup anytime ya want. If you’re out there in Dreamlight Valley, do yourself a favor and grab those Oolong tea leaves from Mulan’s stall. It’s worth it, I tell ya.
