Man, you won’t believe the day I had yesterday. So, I’ve been hearing all this hype about “duckshit oolong tea,” and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I mean, the name alone is enough to make you do a double-take, right? Anyway, I decided to dive in and see what the fuss was all about.

First things first, I needed to get my hands on some of this stuff. I hit up a few of my usual online tea spots, but no luck. Then, I remembered this little tea shop downtown that I had visited once before. I gave them a call, and bingo! They had it. I hopped in my car and drove over there as fast as I could.

Finding the Tea

When I got to the shop, I asked the guy behind the counter about the duckshit oolong. He gave me this knowing smile and said, “Ah, you’re in for a treat.” He grabbed a tin from the shelf and popped it open. The smell that hit me was insane – kind of floral, but also a little earthy. I was already getting excited.

Brewing It Up

I bought a small bag and rushed back home. I followed the brewing instructions on the package, which were pretty standard for oolong. I heated up some water, rinsed the leaves, and then steeped them for a few minutes. The waiting was the hardest part, let me tell you. The aroma filled my kitchen, and it was making my mouth water.

The First Sip

  • Finally, it was time. I poured the tea into my favorite mug and took a sip.
  • Whoa. This wasn’t like any oolong I had tasted before.
  • It was super smooth, with a hint of sweetness and that same floral, earthy note I had smelled earlier.
  • I could definitely see why they call it duckshit, though – there was a unique, almost musky flavor that’s hard to describe.
  • Honestly, I was hooked from the first sip.

I ended up spending the rest of the afternoon just chilling on my couch, sipping on this amazing tea and reading a book. It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. I’ve got to say, this duckshit oolong is definitely something special. I’m already planning my next trip back to that tea shop to stock up. If you’re a tea lover like me, you’ve got to try this stuff. Just be prepared for the name to throw you off a bit!
