- Enjoy Brisk Lemon Ice Tea: Cool Down with This Super Delicious Drink This Hot Summer
Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to try making this brisk lemon ice tea for a while now. I finally got around to it, and let me tell you, it’s pretty darn good! Here’s how it all went down.
First, I gathered all my stuff. I mean, you can’t make iced tea without tea, right? So, I grabbed some tea bags. I also needed some lemons, sugar, and, of course, water. Oh, and ice! Can’t forget the ice.
Then, I boiled the water. While it was heating up, I juiced those lemons. I managed to squeeze out quite a bit of juice from them. Once the water was boiling, I added the sugar into the boiling water until it’s dissolved, took it off the heat, and threw in the tea bags to steep for a while. I’m not really sure about the exact time, I just let them sit there until the tea looked dark enough.
After that, I removed the tea bags and poured in the lemon juice. I stirred everything together, and then added the ice. And guess what? It was already pretty sweet, but I added a bit more sugar just to be sure. I heard that the original Brisk used to have tons of sugar, like, 11 teaspoons per can. That’s crazy! I definitely didn’t put that much in mine. I heard they changed the recipe later and used some kind of sugar substitute, so it’s not as sweet now.
Anyway, I filled up a big glass with ice and poured my homemade brisk lemon ice tea in. And man, it was refreshing! Just the right amount of sweet and tangy.
I think I’m going to make this again. Maybe next time I’ll try adding some different flavors, like mint or maybe even some fruit. The possibilities are endless! This homemade brisk lemon ice tea is definitely a winner in my book.
