Okay, so I’ve been seeing this ginger peach white tea thing all over Pinterest and, you know, I had to try it. I’m a sucker for anything peach, and ginger just makes everything better, right?

Getting Started

First, I gathered all my stuff. I already had some white tea bags, thankfully. Then I ran to the store for fresh peaches and ginger. I figured fresh would be way tastier than anything dried or powdered.

The Process

  • I started by peeling and slicing one juicy peach. I probably used about half an inch of ginger, also peeled and thinly sliced.
  • Next, I filled my favorite teapot with about four cups of water and brought it to a near boil. You don’t want it super boiling for white tea, it can get bitter.
  • I tossed the peach and ginger slices into the teapot.
  • Then, I added two white tea bags.
  • I let the whole thing steep for about 5-7 minutes. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavor, but be careful not to overdo the tea.
  • Finally, I poured myself a cup, straining out the fruit and tea bags.

My Thoughts

Oh. My. Goodness. This stuff is GOOD. The peach flavor is so bright and sweet, and the ginger adds this perfect little zing. It’s amazing. It’s refreshing and comforting all at the same time. I think I’ll be making this a lot, especially since it’s getting warmer outside. I even tried it chilled with some honey, so perfect.
