• Gold Peak Zero Sugar Tea: No sugar, but they put that fake sweet stuff in it. I don’t trust it. This the new stuff, I think.
• Gold Peak Diet Tea: Same as that no sugar, I reckon. My neighbour drink this because she want to lose weight.

They got these big bottles of it, too. I saw one that was like, 52 ounces. That’s a whole lotta tea. The bottle was real big, it’s so heavy I can’t lift it up. And they got these little packets, too, for makin’ it quick. I don’t know about that, seems like a lot of work for somethin’ so simple. Well, you get your water boilin’ hot, then you take one of them gold peak tea bags and drop it in. Let it sit there for a spell, till the water turns brown. Then you can put sugar in it, or lemon, or whatever you like. Some folks like to put milk in, but that just seems wrong to me. Milk is for coffee, not for tea. They say you can drink it cold. I don’t like cold tea, but people say it is good. They call it ice tea.

I remember my old man, he’d make a whole pot of this stuff every mornin’. He’d fill up his big thermos, and take it out to the fields with him. You can get them gold peak tea bags at just about any store, I reckon. I seen ’em at the Target, like I said. And the Walmart, and the Kroger. Even the little gas station down the road has ’em, sometimes. They’re pretty much everywhere. My old man say he can get free delivery when he order a lot of it. I never try it.

They got all them different kinds, like I said before. Sweet, unsweetened, diet, zero sugar. They even got some with flavors, like lemon and raspberry. I don’t know who would want raspberry tea, but I guess some folks do. I see they got different price, too. It’s like 2 dollars for the small bottle, and 30 dollars for a pack.

Why Folks Drink It?

Well, I guess folks drink it cause they like it. It’s like anything else. Some folks like coffee, some folks like tea. Some folks like soda. I knew a fella once who only drank milk. Said it was good for his bones. I don’t know about that, but to each his own, I reckon.

My old man, he drank it cause he said it gave him energy. He’d be out there in the hot sun all day, and that tea is what kept him goin’. I guess it’s got caffeine in it, like coffee. That’s what wakes you up, I reckon. I don’t drink caffeine, it make me nervous.

Some folks say it’s good for you, too. They say it’s got antioxidants, or somethin’ like that. I don’t know what that means, but I guess it’s supposed to be good for you. Maybe that’s why my old man lived so long. He drank that gold peak tea every day of his life, and he lived to be 92. So maybe there’s somethin’ to it. Or maybe he was just lucky. Who knows?
