Okay, so I’ve been experimenting with some stuff in the kitchen again, and today’s adventure is all about making green chai tea. I wanted something with a little kick, but also packed with good-for-you stuff, so that’s when I thought of green tea and chai spices.

I started by gathering all my ingredients. First, I got some green tea bags, a few pieces of whole spices like cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, and a couple of cloves. Also, I thought I will add a little ginger, because why not? That’s pretty much it. I’m not one for super complicated recipes.

  • Boiled some water in a pot.
  • Then I tossed in the spices and let them simmer for a bit. You could really start to smell them after a few minutes, which was awesome.
  • Once the water took on a nice color and the spices had time to do their thing, I added the green tea bags. I turned off the heat and let the tea steep for a couple of minutes. I didn’t want it to get too bitter.

Getting to the Final Sip

Finally, I strained the mixture to get rid of the spices and tea bags. I poured myself a cup, added a splash of milk to make it creamy, and a tiny bit of honey for sweetness. And that was it. My very own green chai tea!

The taste? It was pretty amazing. The spices gave it a warm, cozy feeling, and the green tea added a nice, smooth base. It’s a perfect drink for when you want something comforting but still healthy. I’ll definitely be making this again. Maybe next time I’ll try adding some different spices, just to see what happens.
