tea ceremony
Okay, so, I’ve been trying this green tea detox thing. You know, the one everyone’s talking about? Yeah, that one. I wanted to see if it’s really all that. So I started this little experiment.
First, I got some green tea. Nothing fancy, just the regular kind from the grocery store. Oh, and I also picked up some fresh peppermint leaves ’cause I saw this recipe online for a peppermint green detox tea, sounds interesting, huh?
I started my days by boiling some water. Not too hot, though. I read somewhere that boiling water can make the tea bitter. So, I heated it up just enough. Then, I threw in a green tea bag and let it sit there for like, two or three minutes, not too long. Sometimes I added fresh peppermint.
Then I chugged that down. At first, it was just the plain green tea. It tasted… well, like green tea. A bit grassy, you know? But then, I started adding the peppermint leaves. Just a few. And wow, it was so much better! It felt refreshing and actually kind of tasty.
I kept this up for a couple of weeks. Did I feel different? Well, I did feel a bit more energetic, I guess. Especially on the days I had the peppermint version. And maybe my stomach felt a little less bloated. But was it like, a miracle detox? Nah, not really. Still, it was a nice change from my usual coffee routine.
So, would I recommend it? Sure, why not? It’s just tea, after all. And the peppermint one is pretty good. Just don’t expect it to magically solve all your problems. But if you’re looking for a healthy drink, this is a good one to try. I mean, I’m no expert or anything, but that’s just my two cents.
