Okay, here’s my blog post about making “Green Tea Peach” from scratch, keeping it casual and easy to follow:
So, I’ve been seeing this green tea peach drink everywhere lately, and you know I had to try making it myself. I mean, who doesn’t love a good, refreshing drink, especially when it’s got that peachy goodness? Here’s how I started my little experiment.
First things first, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I grabbed some green tea bags—nothing fancy, just the regular kind I always have in my cupboard. Then, I picked up some fresh peaches from the local market. They were super ripe and smelled amazing. I also needed some sugar, but honey or any other sweetener would probably work too. Oh, and of course, water and ice.
I boiled some water in my kettle and poured it over a couple of green tea bags in a big jug. I let it steep for about 5 minutes. I didn’t want it too strong, just a nice hint of that green tea flavor. Once it was brewed, I took out the tea bags and let the tea cool down a bit.
While the tea was cooling, I got to work on the peaches. I washed them, pitted them, and sliced them up. Then, I tossed about half of the peach slices into my blender. I added a bit of sugar—just a couple of tablespoons because my peaches were already pretty sweet. I blended everything until it was a smooth puree. If you don’t mind a little texture, you could probably just mash the peaches with a fork.
Once the tea was cool enough, I poured it into the blender with the peach puree. I gave it a good whirl to make sure everything was mixed well. Then came the taste test—my favorite part! It was good, but I felt it needed a little something extra. So, I added a tiny bit more sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice. Perfect!
I poured the mixture into a pitcher and stuck it in the fridge to chill for about an hour. You could probably skip this step if you’re in a hurry and just serve it over ice right away, but I think it tastes better when it’s really cold.
When it was time to serve, I filled some glasses with ice and poured the green tea peach mixture over it. I added a few of the leftover peach slices as a garnish, just to make it look a little fancier.
I finished up by cleaning the blender and all the other dishes. Not the most fun part, but hey, it’s worth it for a delicious drink. I’m already thinking about what other fruits I could try this with. Maybe some berries next time? Anyway, that’s it for my green tea peach adventure. Let me know if you try it, and what you think!
