So, I’ve been messing around with this idea for a website lately, right? It’s for a place called “Green Tea Restaurant.” Sounds fancy, huh? I wanted to whip up a menu that’s easy to look at and order from online. You know, the whole shebang.

First off, I had to get a feel for what this place was all about. Turns out, Green Tea Restaurant isn’t just your run-of-the-mill Asian joint. They’re all about serving up authentic Asian cuisine without charging an arm and a leg. Good stuff. And they wanted to include sushi, bento boxes, and some popular Chinese dishes. And they’re open from like 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Busy place, I guess.

I started by gathering all the dishes they wanted on the menu. I found a bunch of stuff: General Tso’s chicken, Penang curry beef, a whole section for sushi, and, of course, appetizers. They even had a special note saying rice wasn’t included, and you had to order it from the side dishes. Noted.

Then came the fun part – organizing everything. I decided to break it down into sections. You got your cold appetizers, your soups, your poultry dishes, house specials, and even a whole section for vegetables. Makes it easier to find what you’re craving, you know?

Here’s how I laid it out:

  • Cold Appetizers
  • Soups
  • Poultry
  • House Special
  • Vegetables

After that, I dove into getting all the prices. Some websites had them listed, some didn’t. It was a bit of a treasure hunt, but I managed to piece it all together. Breakfast, dinner, you name it – I got the prices.

Then I started thinking about the customer. I mean, who’s gonna be using this menu? Turns out, they had a lot of data from places like Tripadvisor. Stuff like vegetarian options, if it’s good for kids, if they take reservations, and if the place is accessible. That’s all important stuff to know, right? So I made sure to have these as tag information at the bottom of the menu.

Additional information

  • Vegetarian options
  • Good for kids
  • Accepts reservations
  • Accessible

So, yeah, that’s basically my little adventure in building a menu for Green Tea Restaurant. It wasn’t just about slapping some dishes and prices on a page. It was about understanding what the restaurant is, what they offer, and who their customers are. And, well, making it all look nice and easy to use. It’s been a fun little project, and hopefully, it makes ordering some tasty Asian food a breeze for folks.
