Okay, so, today I tried to make this drink called “Green Tea Rex.” Sounds fancy, right? Well, it turned out to be a bit of an adventure.
First, I gathered all the ingredients. I needed some green tea, obviously. I used those tea bags because it was simple. Then, I grabbed some honey ’cause I like my tea a little sweet. I also got some lemons, ’cause the recipe called for lemon juice. And ice, lots of ice.
I boiled some water and steeped the green tea bags. I think I left them in for about five minutes, maybe six. I wasn’t really counting, to be honest. After that, I took out the tea bags and stirred in the honey. I used a big spoon for that. I added a good amount of honey, like three spoonfuls, because I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Then I stirred it for quite a long time to make sure that the honey was well mixed into the green tea.
Next, I let the tea cool down a bit. While it was cooling, I sliced up the lemons. I squeezed the juice from one whole lemon into the tea. I made a bit of a mess with the lemon juice, but that is fine. I poured the tea into a big pitcher and threw in a bunch of ice cubes. I wanted it to be super cold.
I gave it a good stir to make sure the lemon juice was mixed in. Then I poured it into a glass. I even added a lemon slice to the rim of the glass to make it look nice. You know, for the ‘gram.
Finally, the moment of truth. I took a sip. It was pretty good! The green tea flavor was there, the honey added just enough sweetness, and the lemon made it all fresh and zesty. It was really refreshing, especially on a hot day like today.
So, that’s how I made Green Tea Rex. It was a fun little experiment. If you’re looking for a refreshing drink, give it a try. It’s easy, and you can adjust the sweetness and lemon to your liking. Cheers!
