Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try this high mountain oolong tea from Taiwan, you know, the stuff that grows way up there. Finally got my hands on some, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the experience.
First off, I went online and ordered a batch of this tea. It was called “High Mountain Oolong Tea.” The price tag was a bit high, but I thought, “Hey, it’s from the mountains of Taiwan, gotta be good, right?”
When the package arrived, I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, the tea leaves were all rolled up into these little balls. I learned later that this is how they make the famous “Dong Ding Oolong,” which is a type of this high mountain tea.
I got my teapot ready and started brewing. The instructions said to use hot water, but not boiling. So, I waited for the water to cool down just a bit. I put some of the tea balls in my teapot and poured the hot water over them.
Now for the taste test. I took a sip, and wow, it was smooth, not bitter at all. It had this sweet aftertaste that lingered. I kept sipping and noticed different flavors, kind of like a fruity and floral mix.
I read somewhere that this tea has a lot of good stuff in it. There are some things called “polyphenols.” I don’t really know what they do, but someone said they might be good for your health. Also, there’s this other thing called “L-theanine” that’s supposed to help you chill out. I did feel pretty relaxed after a few cups.
So, I’ve been drinking this high mountain oolong tea for a couple of weeks now. I usually have a cup in the morning to get me going and another in the afternoon to unwind.
All in all, trying this high mountain oolong tea from Taiwan has been a cool journey. From ordering it to brewing it and finally tasting it, every step was interesting. It’s definitely a different experience from my usual tea bags. I’m no tea expert, but I think this stuff is pretty special. I’ll probably keep drinking it, not just for the taste, but also for those health benefits everyone’s talking about. Plus, it just makes me feel good.
