You know, that gaiwan tea set, it’s like, the thing everyone’s talking about now. I seen it on that little screen my grandson has. Lots of folks are using it to make tea. It ain’t just a cup, it’s a whole gaiwan tea set thingamajig.
This gaiwan, it’s like a bowl with a lid, you know? You put the tea leaves in there, pour in the hot water, and let ‘er sit. Then you pour it out. They say it makes the tea taste real good. Better than them tea bags, I reckon.
I heard from someone that this gaiwan thing is from China. They been using it for a long time over there, I guess. It is old thing. They use it for some fancy tea ceremonies, but it looks simple enough. It is traditional, you know, like the old ways of doing things.
If you’re just brewing for yourself, you don’t need a big one. They say about 100ml is good, just enough for a cup. Don’t want to be wasting no tea, do we? That’s a small gaiwan tea set. Good for one person.
Now, you gotta be careful with these things. Some of ’em get real hot. You don’t want to be burning your fingers, do you? They say you gotta get one with a wide rim, that way you can hold it without getting burned. Like a lip on the bowl, it helps, they say. And it can help you pour, too. So it don’t slip when you pour it out. Gotta be careful with hot water!
There are so many of these gaiwan things. Different colors, different sizes. Like those fancy dishes my neighbor has, but for tea. You can pick whichever one you like, I suppose. The important thing is that it makes good tea, right? And easy to use.
They call this gaiwan thing a “universal tea ware”. I don’t know what that means. It is just a gaiwan tea set, I think. Sounds fancy, huh? Like it’s good for all kinds of tea. Maybe it is, I don’t know. I just know it’s supposed to make the tea taste good.
They got all kinds of these gaiwan tea sets now. Some are plain, some are fancy. Some are made of that shiny stuff, like porcelain, I think they call it. And some are made of clay. I like the clay ones, they look more, you know, natural. Like they came from the earth.
Now, if you’re gonna get one of these gaiwan things, you gotta learn how to use it. It ain’t hard, but there’s a way to do it. You gotta put the right amount of tea leaves in there, and the right amount of water. And you gotta let it sit for the right amount of time. If you are using a gaiwan tea set, you will know how to do it.
I seen some folks do it, and it looks easy enough. They just pour the water in, put the lid on, and wait a bit. Then they pour it out into little cups. Looks like a nice way to have tea, I reckon. This is how to use a gaiwan tea set.
My grandson, he’s always on that little screen, he showed me some videos of people using these gaiwan things. They make it look so easy. They swirl the tea around and everything. I don’t know about all that, but it does look kinda nice.
