herbal tea
Alright, let’s talk about this white tea thing. Folks say it’s good for ya, so I figured, why not? Never had it before, mind you. Always been a black tea kinda gal, strong and sweet, the way I like it. But this white tea, it’s different, real different.
First off, they say it’s the “freshest.” Freshest tea? What’s that even mean? Apparently, they don’t mess with it too much, no rolling or frying, just dryin’ the leaves gentle-like. They say that makes it taste…well, fresh, I guess. Can’t say I know what fresh tea tastes like, but it ain’t bad. It’s light, kinda delicate. Not like that Lipton stuff, that’s for sure.
Now, the big thing everyone keeps jabberin’ about is them “antiox…antioxi…dang, those long words!” Anyways, they’re supposed to be good for ya, keep you from gettin’ all creaky and old, maybe even keep the sickness away. I ain’t no doctor, but if it keeps me outta that hospital, I’m all for it. Pills cost a fortune these days, ya know?
Now, some folks like to put all sorts of things in their tea, milk, sugar, lemon, even them fancy spices. But with this white tea, they say you gotta drink it plain. Plain! Can you believe it? No sugar! Took some gettin’ used to, I tell ya. But now, I kinda like it. You can actually taste the tea, not just the sugar. It’s got a… a gentle taste, like flowers maybe, or fresh cut grass. Not strong, but it’s there.
They say milk is for black tea, and sometimes them herb teas. But not for white or green tea. Mess with the flavor, they say. And the health stuff too. I don’t know about all that, but I figure, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. So, I drink it plain, just like they say.
This whole white tea thing, it’s kinda new to me. But I reckon it’s good for ya. Makes me feel…lighter, somehow. Maybe it’s all them fancy antiox…stuff, maybe it’s just the quiet time I take to drink it. Either way, I’m keepin’ it up. It’s a nice change from that strong black tea I used to drink all the time. Plus, anything that keeps me outta the doctor’s office is a good thing in my book.
So, there you have it. That’s how I drink white tea. Nothin’ fancy, just plain and simple. Just the way I like it. And who knows, maybe it’ll do you some good too. Worth a try, ain’t it?
And remember, don’t go boilin’ the water too hot! You’ll ruin the whole thing, and that’d be a waste of good tea. Just warm it up gentle-like, like you’re warmin’ up a baby’s bottle. That’s the key, I reckon.
One more thing, they say the good stuff, the real fresh white tea, it’s a bit pricey. Well, I ain’t made of money, but I figure a little bit of health is worth spendin’ a few extra pennies on. You can’t take it with you, right? So might as well spend it on somethin’ that’ll keep you goin’.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about white tea. Hope it helps ya out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go make myself a cup.
