Okay, let’s talk about this lemon and ginger tea thing I’ve been doing. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s become a regular part of my day. I started it a while back when I wanted something warm and comforting, especially during those cold mornings.
So, I grabbed a bag of Stash lemon ginger tea from my cupboard. I also like a bit of sweetness and a stronger kick, so I decided to add some candied ginger to it. I don’t know, it just makes it better for me.
First, I boil some water in a saucepan. Nothing complicated there, just your usual water-boiling process. While the water was heating up, I took a piece of fresh ginger and peeled it with a vegetable peeler. After that, I sliced it into a few thin pieces.
After it steeped long enough, I poured the tea into my favorite mug. I added a piece or two of the candied ginger in there, too. It’s kind of my little secret to make the tea even better.
I usually drink this tea in the morning. I read somewhere that it’s good to start your day with ginger, something about boosting energy and digestion. But honestly, sometimes I also have it at night, especially when I feel a bit bloated.
They say you can drink this stuff two or three times a day. Something about helping you stay hydrated and maybe even suppressing your appetite a bit. Plus, there’s some talk about ginger and lemon having antioxidants and vitamin C, which sounds pretty good, right? I just like it because it tastes good and makes me feel good, and it is a very simple thing to do. And you can easily make it at home.
