- Iced lemon hibiscus tea: Discover the perfect summer beverage for a healthy refreshment!

Okay, so today I messed around and made some lemon hibiscus tea. Let me tell you how it went down.
First, I grabbed a bunch of dried hibiscus flowers. I didn’t really measure, just eyeballed it – maybe a handful or two? Then, I boiled some water in a pot. Once it was bubbling, I threw in the hibiscus flowers and turned off the heat. I let that sit for a while, like 15-20 minutes, until the water turned a really deep red color. That’s how you know it’s good and steeped.
While that was happening, I got some lemons ready. I sliced a couple of them up – I like it really lemony, so you do you. After the tea was done steeping, I strained out the flowers using a mesh strainer. I wanted to make sure I got rid of all the flowery bits.
Next, I poured the hot tea into a big pitcher. I squeezed in the juice from those lemons I sliced up, added a good amount of sugar, not too much but you should add the sugar by your taste. I gave it a good stir to make sure everything was mixed well. Then, I added in some cold water to cool it down and dilute it a bit. You could add ice too if you want it super cold right away.
I put the pitcher in the fridge for a few hours to chill. I tasted it after a while, and it was pretty good! Really refreshing and tart, with that nice floral hibiscus flavor. I think next time I might try adding some mint or maybe even some berries. But yeah, that’s pretty much it – super simple, and it turned out great!
It is caffeine-free, that’s cool. You can also serve it in hot or cold. I made it cold this time, so maybe next time I will try it hot.
You can also add other things in it, like mint, to make it taste better, I will try it next time.
It’s pretty good for summer BBQs, and parties, I will try to make it for the next party.
That’s all I have for today. Bye!
