Okay, so I’ve always been a big fan of Arizona Green Tea. That stuff is like, the perfect drink on a hot day. But I started wondering, what’s actually in it? I mean, “green tea” is pretty vague, right? So, I decided to do a little digging.

First, I grabbed a bottle and looked at the label. You know, the usual suspects: “Premium Brewed Green Tea”. Okay, cool, but what kind of green tea? They don’t really say. That kinda bugged me.

Then I saw “High Fructose Corn Syrup” and “Honey”. Sweeteners, got it. Makes sense, it’s pretty sweet. Nothing shocking there.

What I Found

  • Premium Brewed Green Tea using filtered water: So, this is the base. It’s green tea, brewed, which means they use hot water to extract the flavor from the tea leaves.
  • High Fructose Corn Syrup: This is the main sweetener. It’s, well, corn syrup. No surprises.
  • Honey: Adds a little extra sweetness and that distinct honey flavor. I guess that’s why it tastes so good.
  • Citric Acid: This is probably what gives it that slight tang. It also acts like a preservative, keeping things fresh.
  • Ascorbic Acid(Vitamin C): Added Vitamin C.
  • Natural Flavors: Now, this is where it gets interesting. “Natural Flavors” can mean anything. Seriously, it’s like a secret code.
  • Ginseng Extract: Panax Ginseng.

So basically, it’s mostly sweetened green tea with some citric acid and “natural flavors.” It would be cool, you know, if the taste is the ginseng.
