Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this here “is chamomile white tea” thing. Folks these days, they like fancy words and all, but back in my day, we just called it tea, or no tea, simple as that.

So, this chamomile stuff, it ain’t like the regular tea I grew up drinkin’. You know, the stuff you get from them tea bushes? This here chamomile, it’s made from flowers, little white ones with yellow middles. They look kinda pretty, I guess, but they don’t taste nothin’ like the tea my grandma used to make. This chamomile tea, it’s more like…well, flower water, if you ask me.

Now, this white tea they talk about, that’s different. That’s from them tea leaves, alright. But it’s a special kind, real light and delicate. They say it’s fancy, but I can’t tell the difference much, tastes like tea to me. They got all sorts of names for it too, somethin’ about needles and eyebrows, I don’t get it. Silver Needle, White Peony, sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a lady’s sewing basket, not somethin’ you’d drink.

• Chamomile tea? Flowers, hot water, done.
• White tea? Tea leaves, fancy names, also done.

See? Two different things. One’s from flowers, the other’s from leaves. It ain’t rocket science, folks. My old man used to say, “If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.” Well, if it looks like a flower and smells like a flower, it ain’t no tea leaf, that’s for sure. And if it looks like a leaf and tastes like tea, well, then it’s tea.

They say chamomile tea helps you sleep. I don’t know about that, hard work always did the trick for me. But if you like the taste, go ahead and drink it. Just don’t go callin’ it white tea, ’cause it ain’t. That’s like callin’ a cow a chicken, makes no sense.

And this green tea they talk about? That’s another one from leaves. It’s kinda like white tea but stronger, I reckon. Then there’s this jasmine tea, smells like flowers but it’s still got tea leaves in it. They put the flowers on top, makes it smell nice, but it’s still tea, see? It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me. Too many fancy names, too many different kinds. Back in my day, tea was tea, and that was that.

So, to sum it up, chamomile tea ain’t white tea. It might be good for ya, might help you sleep, might just taste nice, but it ain’t white tea. White tea is from tea leaves, chamomile tea is from flowers. End of story. Don’t let them fancy folks confuse ya with all their big words and complicated explanations. It’s simple, really. Flowers and leaves, two different things.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself a cup of good ol’ regular tea. None of this fancy flower water for me.
