black tea | December 3rd, 2024

Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Kirkland green tea, ya know, the one they sell at that big store, Costco. I ain’t no fancy tea expert or nothin’, but I drink it every day, so I reckon I know a thing or two.

First off, they say this tea comes from some place called Japan, from a company named Ito En. Sounds fancy, huh? I dunno much about Japan, but they sure know how to make a good cuppa tea. This Ito En, they’re all about sustainability and makin’ things taste good. And let me tell ya, this tea, it tastes pretty darn good.

Now, I ain’t one for all that scientific mumbo jumbo, but they say this green tea ain’t got as much caffeine as that black tea. Somethin’ about 25 to 30 milligrams in a cup, whatever that means. I just know it gives me a little pep in my step without makin’ me all jittery like that strong coffee does. My old man, he can’t handle the coffee, gets him all wound up, but this green tea, he can drink it just fine.

They also got this other green tea, called matcha, they say it’s the healthiest. It’s kinda different, all powdery and green. When you drink that matcha stuff, you’re drinkin’ the whole tea leaf, so you get all the good stuff, and all the caffeine too. I tried it once, but it was a bit strong for my taste, kinda grassy, you know?

This Kirkland tea, it comes in these little bags, easy to use. Just boil some water, dunk the bag in, and let it sit for a bit. I like to let it steep for a good while, makes it stronger. Sometimes I add a little honey, especially when my throat’s feelin’ scratchy. My neighbor, she adds lemon to hers, but I ain’t a fan of that sour stuff.

  • Good taste, not too bitter.
  • Easy to make, just use the bags.
  • Not too much caffeine, so I can sleep at night.
  • Big box, lasts a long time, saves money.

I buy the big ol’ box at Costco, lasts me forever. Saves me money, ya know? And that’s important when you’re on a fixed income like me. They got all sorts of things at that Costco, but this green tea, it’s one of my staples. I always make sure I got a box on hand. I even got my daughter drinking it now. She used to drink all those sugary sodas, but I told her, “Girl, you gotta stop drinkin’ that garbage, it ain’t good for ya.” Now she’s hooked on this green tea too, says it makes her feel better.

I heard you can buy this tea on eBay too. I ain’t never bought nothin’ online myself, I like to see what I’m gettin’ with my own two eyes. But I guess if you can’t get to a Costco, that eBay might be a good option. They say they got almost everything on there. Seems like these days you can buy just about anything without even leavin’ your house. Times sure have changed.

Anyway, that’s about all I gotta say about this Kirkland green tea. It’s good, it’s cheap, and it’s good for ya. At least that’s what I think. I ain’t no doctor, but I know what I like. And I like this tea. So if you’re lookin’ for a good green tea, give this Kirkland stuff a try. You might just like it too.

I hear tell they bring this tea from all over the world. “Productos de calidad provenientes de todo el mundo. Compra emocionantes productos.” That’s what they say, anyway. I don’t know about all that, but it tastes good to me, and that’s all that matters. Don’t need no fancy words or foreign languages to know what tastes good.
