Okay, here’s my blog post about making a lemon iced tea and vodka cocktail:
So, the other day I was feeling like something refreshing but with a little kick. I had some iced tea in the fridge and a bottle of vodka, and a lightbulb went off. Why not mix them? I’m no bartender, but I figured it couldn’t be that hard. And you know what? It wasn’t! This is how it went down.
First, I grabbed a tall glass from the cupboard. Nothing fancy, just a regular glass. Then I filled it up with ice. I like my drinks super cold, so I used a lot of ice.
Next, I poured in the iced tea. I used about two-thirds of the glass, leaving some room for the vodka and, importantly, a bit of space to stir without spilling everything. Honestly, I just eyeballed it. After that, I added the vodka. I didn’t measure it precisely – maybe a shot or two. I figured I could always add more later if it wasn’t strong enough.
I had a lemon in the fridge, so I cut a couple of wedges. I squeezed one wedge into the drink and tossed the other one in the glass for garnish. It looked a bit more presentable that way. You could use other fruit or mint, even.
Then came the important part – the mixing! I took a long spoon and stirred everything together. I made sure the vodka and iced tea were properly combined. Once it was all mixed, I took a sip. Not bad! It was cold, refreshing, and had that nice little vodka bite. I ended up adding a little more vodka because I wanted it a bit stronger. But again, that’s just me.
It’s a simple drink, nothing complicated, but it’s perfect for a hot day or when you just want something easy and tasty. If you want to make one of these yourself, go for it! It’s super easy and you’ll probably love it!
