So, I was at the store the other day, just doing my usual grocery shopping, and I came across this Lipton green tea. I’ve been trying to be a bit healthier lately, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” But before I tossed it into my cart, I figured I should probably check out the nutrition label.

First things first, I looked for the calorie count. You know, gotta watch those numbers if you’re trying to keep things in check. Then, I started scanning for other stuff, like carbs and fat. I need to make sure I know what I am putting in my body, right?

Next, I decided to flip the box over and read through the ingredients list. It’s pretty simple, actually. Just says “Green Tea” and that it’s Rainforest Alliance Certified. I looked it up and realized it’s good for the environment.

I noticed the label also mentions that the daily values are based on a 2000 calorie diet. They also have some info about amino acids, I think it’s for a person that weighs around 180 pounds. This Lipton green tea is categorized as “Tea Bags” under the USDA Branded foods, that’s what it says on the label.

After I got home, I brewed myself a cup. It was a good feeling, knowing what’s in my drink. I’ll definitely keep buying this from now on. I even told my friend about it, so maybe she’ll switch to green tea, too.
