black tea
Okay, here’s a blog post about my experience with Lishan Oolong Tea, following your instructions:
So, I’ve been getting into this whole tea thing lately. You know, trying to be a bit healthier, cut down on the coffee, that kind of stuff. I heard about this tea called Lishan Oolong and thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
First, I hit up the internet to find some. There were a bunch of places selling it, all making these big promises like, over 300 types of tea leaves, some places giving monthly discounts, and also free shipping. Some talked about being “family-owned for 30+ years.” One place even had like 10,000 reviews, it looked pretty legit.
I ended up ordering some from a shop that seemed pretty decent. I also saw some ads saying that I can buy groceries online, but my goal was to buy tea, so I passed those ads. There’s a website selling unique items that you can’t find anywhere else, and people can buy and sell millions of one-of-a-kind items. But I only wanted tea this time.
While I was waiting for it to arrive, I did some more digging. Turns out, Lishan is a place in Taiwan, a mountain, and it’s apparently a big deal for growing tea. High altitude, special climate, you get the idea. Made me feel like I was about to drink something fancy.
The tea finally showed up. I followed the brewing instructions, probably not perfectly, but close enough. Used hot water, not boiling, and let it steep for a few minutes. The leaves were these tightly rolled little balls, and they unfurled in the water, which was kind of cool to watch.
Took my first sip. Okay, I wasn’t blown away, not at first. It’s definitely different from regular black tea or green tea. Kind of… smooth? And it had this subtle sweetness, almost like flowers or something. Not sugary sweet, but just a hint.
I’ve been drinking it a few times a week now. Honestly, I’m starting to really like it. It’s a nice change of pace from my usual drinks. Plus, I like the whole ritual of brewing it, makes me slow down a bit. It’s become my go-to drink when I want to just chill and read a book or something.
I’m no tea expert, but I think this Lishan Oolong is worth trying if you’re looking for something a little different. I enjoyed this tea and I will order it again.
Next time I might try a different brand or something, just to see how they compare. But yeah, Lishan Oolong, thumbs up from me!
I shared my experience of drinking this tea, hope you guys like it. It was a good try!
