Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Lomonosov tea set for a while now. I finally decided to go for it, and I documented the whole process.

Finding the Right Set

First, I started by browsing online. I checked out a few different websites and auction sites. There are so many patterns and variations, it was a little overwhelming!

I narrowed it down to a few designs I liked, mostly focusing on the classic Cobalt Net pattern. That blue and gold is just so iconic.

Making the Purchase

After some serious consideration, I decided on a set from a reputable online seller. It was a bit of an investment, but I figured it was worth it for something I’d wanted for so long.

I carefully read all the details about the set – the number of pieces, the condition, everything. Then I nervously clicked the “buy” button.

The Waiting Game

Waiting for it to arrive was the hardest part! I kept checking the tracking information, anxious for it to show up on my doorstep.

Unboxing and First Impressions

Finally, the day arrived! The box was HUGE, and I carefully unpacked everything. Each piece was individually wrapped in bubble wrap and tissue paper.

I laid all the pieces out on my dining room table. The porcelain was so delicate and beautiful. The gold detailing was even more stunning in person.

Setting Up a Tea Party

Of course, I had to have a little tea party to celebrate! I invited a couple of friends over, brewed some nice tea, and arranged some pastries on a platter.

We used the Lomonosov tea set, and it felt so elegant. It really elevated the whole experience.

Cleaning and Storage

Afterward, I carefully hand-washed each piece. I definitely didn’t want to risk putting them in the dishwasher!

I found a special spot in my china cabinet to display the set. It’s now one of my most prized possessions.
