tea ceremony
Alright, let’s talk about them loose leaf tea holders, you know, the things you put your tea in. I ain’t no fancy pants tea expert, but I do love a good cuppa, and you gotta have somethin’ to hold them leaves, right?
First off, you got them little metal ball things, the tea infusers, they call ’em. Look like a little cage, you stuff the tea in there, and dunk it in your hot water. They come in different sizes, some big, some small. I like the ones with the little chain, easy to pull out when your tea’s done steeping. Don’t want them leaves floating around in your cup, no sir. You can find them cheap, too, which is good for folks like me.
Then there’s them strainers, kinda like a little basket. You put that over your cup and pour the hot water over the leaves, the tea goes in the cup, the leaves stay put. Simple as that. Some are metal, some are them plastic things, I don’t much care, long as they do the job.
Now, if you got a whole bunch of tea, you need somethin’ to keep it fresh. That’s where them tea canisters come in. You know, little jars, or tins, or somethin’. Gotta keep the air out, or your tea’s gonna go stale, taste like nothin’. I seen some real pretty ones, made of glass, or with fancy lids, but I just use an old coffee can, works just fine. Ain’t pretty, but it does the job. You know, keeps the tea good and dry.
I heard tell some folks use them tea balls, they’re kinda like them infusers, but round. Same idea, though, holds the leaves while they brew. And there’s them tea boxes too, for fancy folks who like to keep their tea bags organized. I just keep mine in a drawer, but to each their own, I say.
You can buy these things all over, you know. Seen ’em at the grocery store, at them big stores like Walmart, even at the dollar store sometimes. And there’s them online places too, like Amazon, if you don’t feel like leavin’ the house. Just type in “loose leaf tea holder” and you’ll see all sorts of things pop up. Makes your head spin, all the choices they got these days.
But you know, it don’t really matter what kind of holder you use, long as it keeps them leaves outta your teeth. And keeps your tea fresh, of course. That’s the important thing. I like a good strong cuppa in the morning, gets me goin’. And a nice cup before bed, helps me sleep. Tea’s good stuff, that’s what I say. So get yourself a good holder, and enjoy your tea, y’all.
And don’t go spendin’ a fortune on somethin’ fancy, unless you want to. A simple jar or a cheap infuser will do just fine. It’s the tea that matters, not the holder. That’s what my old mama used to say, bless her heart. Said good tea is good tea, no matter how you make it.
So there you have it, my two cents on loose leaf tea holders. Nothin’ fancy, just plain talk, like it is. Now go make yourself a cup, and enjoy.
Where to get ‘em: Like I said, you can find these things everywhere. Grocery stores, big stores, dollar stores, online… you name it. Just gotta look around a bit. And don’t be afraid to try different kinds, see what works best for you.
Keepin’ it fresh: Remember, keep that tea in a sealed container, outta the light and away from the heat. That way, it’ll stay good and flavorful for a long time. Nobody wants stale tea, that’s for sure.
Well, that’s about all I got to say on the matter. Hope it helped y’all out some. Now go on and enjoy your tea!
