Love Black Tea? Try Persian Black Tea (Taste & Benefits)

Okay, so I’ve been seeing “Persian black tea” all over my social media feeds lately, and you know I gotta try everything at least once. It looked so fancy and fragrant, I just had to give it a shot myself. Here’s how my little tea adventure went.

First, I gathered my stuff. I didn’t have any actual Persian tea, so I just used regular black tea bags – Lipton, I think. I also grabbed some cardamom pods, because all the pictures I saw had those. And, of course, I needed my favorite mug.

Brewing Time

  • I boiled some water in my kettle. Nothing fancy, just regular tap water.
  • While the water was heating up, I took like three or four cardamom pods and crushed them a little. I just used the back of a spoon – no need for anything special.
  • Then, I put two tea bags in my mug and added the crushed cardamom.
  • Once the water was boiling, I poured it into the mug, right over the tea bags and cardamom.
  • I let it steep for a good while, maybe like 5-7 minutes? I like my tea strong. I stirred it good.

Okay, so the tea was steeping, and my kitchen started to smell amazing! It was like this warm, spicy scent – way better than my usual plain tea.

After it steeped long enough, I took out the tea bags. I didn’t want it to get bitter, you know?

The Taste Test

I took a sip, and… wow! It was different. Like, in a good way. The cardamom added this really nice flavor, kinda warm and cozy. It wasn’t like anything I’d tasted before. I usually put sugar in my tea, but this time I didn’t because I wanna taste it * was pretty good without it!

I ended up drinking the whole mug, and honestly, I felt pretty relaxed afterward. Maybe it was the tea, or maybe it was just taking a break to do something new. Either way, I’m calling it a win.

So, yeah, that’s my Persian black tea experience. It was super easy, even though I didn’t have all the “right” stuff. I’d definitely make it again. Maybe next time I’ll try to find some actual Persian tea leaves and see how that goes!
