- Make Lemon Balm Green Tea at Home (Super Simple Steps for Beginners)
organic tea
Okay, so, I tried making lemon balm green tea the other day. It was a bit of an adventure, so I thought I’d share my experience.
First, I had to get my hands on some lemon balm. I figured I could probably find it at the grocery store, but I decided to try growing it myself. I found a little spot in my garden that gets good sun in the morning and some shade in the afternoon. It seemed like the perfect place. I planted the seeds and watered them regularly. It took a while, but eventually, I had some nice lemon balm plants growing.
Once the plants were big enough, I started harvesting the leaves. I read somewhere that you should tear them into smaller pieces, so that’s what I did. It was a bit tedious, but I enjoyed the process, the smell was amazing. I also found some dried lemon balm at a local store, but it didn’t seem as potent as the fresh stuff.
The tea had a really nice, light lemon scent. It was super relaxing to just sit there and smell it. The taste was subtle, but definitely lemony. I added a bit of honey to sweeten it up, which was a nice touch. I also tried it with some ginger, inspired by an article that suggested it aids digestion. It did make my tummy feel better after a big meal.
Overall, it was a fun little project. Growing the lemon balm myself made it feel a bit more special. Plus, the tea was pretty tasty and seemed to help me relax a bit. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a new herbal tea to add to your routine. It’s not complicated at all, and the fresh lemon balm is way better than the dried stuff, in my opinion.
I found it to be a very soothing and refreshing drink, and I’ll be making it more often, I think. It’s a good way to use up the lemon balm I’m growing, and it’s a nice change from my usual tea.
