Today I felt like having a nice, warm drink, something that’s both tasty and good for you. So, I decided to make some honey green tea with lemon. It’s super simple, and I thought I’d share how I did it.
First, I grabbed a green tea bag from my stash. I’m not picky about the brand, whatever I have on hand works just fine. Then, I boiled some water in my kettle. While waiting for the water, I took a lemon and sliced it into a few wedges. I like to have a couple for extra flavor.
Once the water was boiling, I poured it into my favorite mug, which is a big, comfy one that keeps my tea warm for longer. I dropped the green tea bag into the hot water and let it steep. I usually let it sit for about 3-5 minutes. You can do it for longer if you like it stronger, but I find this time’s just right for me.
After the tea was ready, I removed the tea bag. Then came the best part – adding the honey and lemon. I squeezed in the juice from the lemon wedges. The amount of lemon really depends on your taste. I like mine a bit tangy, so I used two wedges. I then added a spoonful of honey. I just eyeball it, but it’s roughly a tablespoon. Again, if you have a sweet tooth, you might want to add more.
I gave everything a good stir with a spoon, making sure the honey was all dissolved and mixed in well. And that’s it! My honey green tea with lemon was ready to enjoy. It smelled amazing, all citrusy and sweet.
I took my mug and sat down on my couch, ready to relax. The tea was so soothing and delicious. It’s a bit of a treat for me, especially when I’m feeling a little under the weather or just want something comforting. Plus, I heard it’s got some good stuff in it, like antioxidants from the green tea and vitamin C from the lemon. I’m no expert, but I think it helps with digestion and keeps my metabolism in check.
Anyway, that’s how I make my honey green tea with lemon. It’s a simple little thing, but it makes my day a bit brighter. If you haven’t tried it, you really should. It’s a great way to unwind and enjoy a moment of peace.
