Okay, folks, let’s dive into how I got the Oolong layered armor set in Monster Hunter World. It wasn’t exactly straightforward, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
First, I had to, you know, actually own the Iceborne expansion. No Iceborne, no Oolong. That was step one. Made sure I had that all installed and ready to go.
Then came the real grind. I needed to get to the Guiding Lands. This place is a beast of its own. I spent a good chunk of time just exploring, figuring out the different regions, and, most importantly, leveling them up. It’s a bit of a slow burn, but you gotta do it. You have to complete the main story quest of icebrone, then you unlock it.
The Oolong set requires specific materials, and most of them come from the Guiding Lands. I’m talking about mining outcrops and bonepiles. Lots and lots of them. I remember running around like a headless chicken, just grabbing everything I could.
I think the most frustrating part was the randomness. Sometimes I’d get exactly what I needed, other times…not so much. It took several trips, a few rage quits (don’t judge!), and a whole lot of patience. I even teamed up with some random players online a few times, which helped speed things up.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I had enough materials. I rushed back to the Smithy, my heart pounding with anticipation (yeah, I get really into this game). And there it was – the option to craft the Oolong layered armor. I clicked that button so fast!
Seeing my hunter decked out in the Oolong set was totally worth the effort. It looks awesome! Plus, you know, bragging rights. I felt like a true master hunter (even if I did trip over a small rock shortly after…it happens!).
So the key is really grinding Guiding Land, gather Guiding Reef Dragonbone and Guiding Reef * all!
