Hey guys, I am gonna talk about my experience of getting Oolong Armor in Monster Hunter World Iceborne today. I heard this was a decent choice for early Master Rank so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First, I jumped into the game, ready to hunt down whatever I needed. The info I found online wasn’t too clear, but it seemed like I needed to gather some specific materials. The Oolong Alpha + Armor Set is a Master Rank set, meaning it’s for higher-level players, which I am. So, I checked my gear and made sure I had the best I could get for this level.
I started by hunting the usual suspects, hoping they would drop the materials needed. It was a bit of a grind, honestly. I spent hours taking down monsters, collecting items, and trying to figure out what exactly I needed for this Oolong set. I mainly focused on getting the Oolong Boots Alpha +. They are said to be pretty good for the early stage of Master Rank.
After a bunch of hunts, I finally started to see some of the specific materials I needed. It’s not like other armor sets where you just beat a monster and craft it. This one took a bit more digging. It turns out I needed materials from different monsters. The boots needed materials from a couple of different ones, so I had to switch up my hunting strategy. That’s why I chose to collect other armor pieces with the skills I needed first, and I tried setting decorations on my armor, too.
Once I had enough materials, I went to the smithy. Crafting the armor was pretty straightforward once I got there. The Oolong Boots Alpha + were my first target. They require specific items. After crafting the boots, I moved on to the other pieces.
With the full set finally done, I equipped it to see how it performed. The skills are decent: it speeds up stamina recovery, which is super handy in long fights, and it temporarily enhances attacks after recovering from status effects. The health boost is also pretty nice.
Overall, the Oolong Alpha + Armor Set is a solid choice for early Master Rank. It wasn’t too hard to get, just a bit time-consuming. The skills are useful, especially the stamina recovery and the attack boost. I’d recommend this set if you’re just starting Master Rank and need something reliable. There are five pieces of armor in total. It’s a good fashion set, too, if you’re into that. If you get the layered version, it’s only for the looks and keeps your current stats.
So yeah, that’s my experience getting and using the Oolong Armor in Monster Hunter World Iceborne. Hope this helps anyone looking to craft it!
