And you can brew it cold. Who knew? I used to just boil water, pour it over, and be done with it. But this cold way, it’s something else.

You just take some of this oolong tea, the loose kind, not in them little bags. Though, them bags might work, too, I don’t know. But I use the loose tea. Put a good amount in a jar. I don’t measure, just eyeball it. Enough to make it look like tea, you know?

  • Stick it in the fridge.
  • Wait.

Now, they say you gotta use a lot of tea for this cold brew. Like, two big spoons for a big jar of water. Maybe even more. I just throw in a handful. Seems to work fine for me. How Long to Cold Brew Oolong Tea

People say you gotta leave it in there for like, 8 hours, maybe 12. That’s a long time. I just put it in there before I go to bed and take it out in the morning. Works for me. The oolong tea gets all mixed in with the water, and it turns a nice color. Not too dark, not too light. Just right.

Then, you gotta get the tea leaves out. I just pour it through a strainer. You don’t want to be drinking no leaves. Unless you like that, I guess. Some folks do. Not me, though. I like my oolong cold brew clear.

Some folks, they like to add things to their cold brew oolong. Like a squeeze of lemon. Or maybe some of that bubbly water. Makes it fizzy. I tried that once. Wasn’t bad. But I prefer it plain. Just the tea and the water. That’s all you need. Keep it simple, that’s what I always say.
