fruit tea
Okay, so today I wanna talk about something I’ve been messing around with: oolong tea k cups.
I’m a big fan of oolong tea, you know, that kinda tea that’s somewhere between green and black tea? It’s got a nice, complex flavor that I really enjoy. I usually brew it the traditional way, with loose leaves and all that, but sometimes you just want something quick and easy, right? So, I started looking into these oolong tea K-Cups.
First, I gotta say, finding these things was a bit of a pain. They’re not exactly as common as your regular coffee K-Cups. I went to a couple of grocery stores, but no luck. I think I even asked someone in one store but they just kinda gave me this blank look. Eventually, I ended up looking online. There are a few different brands out there that make them. I found some that are even organic and non-GMO. That’s always a plus in my book.
So, I finally got my hands on a box. They were on sale, which was pretty sweet. I think I ended up paying like sixteen bucks for a box of 24. Not bad, not bad.
Next, I popped one of these bad boys into my Keurig. I was a little curious to see how it would turn out, to be honest. I mean, oolong is usually something you steep for a few minutes, so I wasn’t sure how the Keurig would handle it.
After a few more tries, I think I’ve kinda figured out how to get a decent cup of oolong out of these K-Cups. It’s not quite the same as brewing it the traditional way, but it’s definitely convenient. You know, for those mornings when you’re in a rush but still want your oolong fix. Or like for when you just can’t be bothered washing the pot you use for steeping tea leaves.
Would I recommend these oolong K-Cups? Yeah, I think so. They’re a good option if you’re short on time or just feeling a bit lazy. Just don’t expect it to be exactly the same as a traditionally brewed cup. You might need to play around with the brewing time a bit to get the flavor just right. Also, I’d suggest pausing the brewing for a bit to let it steep longer.
It is not bad for what it is and it is definitely convenient, for what that’s worth. But, I think I’ll stick to my normal routine, mostly. But it’s nice to know I can get a quick fix with the Keurig machine if I’m in a rush.
