Today I want to share with you guys a little experiment I did with organic oolong tea. You know, I’ve always been a coffee guy in the morning, but lately, I’ve been trying to switch things up a bit and find something a little healthier. So I went and picked up some oolong organic tea that I found during my last grocery run.
First off, I grabbed my favorite mug, the one with the little chip on the handle that my wife hates but I love. I then filled my kettle with some water and set it to boil. While waiting, I opened up the bag of tea, and wow, the smell was amazing. It had this kind of earthy, slightly sweet aroma that just filled up my kitchen. I took a good whiff and felt like I was in a different world for a second.
Once the water boiled, I poured it over the tea leaves in my mug. The instructions said to steep it for about three to five minutes, so I set a timer on my phone. While that was steeping, I sat at my kitchen table, scrolled through my phone for a bit, and watched the tea slowly change the color of the water.
When the timer went off, I removed the tea leaves, took a sip and was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot smoother than I expected, with a nice, subtle flavor. I added just a little drop of honey because I like a tiny bit of sweetness in my tea, then sat down and enjoyed the whole mug while reading the news.
I think I might keep this organic oolong tea thing going for a while. It’s definitely a nice way to start the day, and I felt good knowing I was putting something healthy into my body. Plus, it was kind of a fun little ritual to go through in the morning. Maybe I’ll even try some different types of oolong tea and see what else is out there. I heard somewhere that it was used as medicine and that it can help with digestion, which would be great, but even if not, I enjoyed the experience a lot!
