Alright, let’s talk about this Oolong place, yeah? I heard it’s a restaurant. Some kinda eatery, I reckon. Folks keep jabberin’ about it, so I figured, why not spill the beans, you know? Tell ya what I know, what I heard.
So, first off, they got this menu thing. Like a list, tells ya what grub they got. Said somethin’ ’bout noodles, the thin kind, like worms. They fry ’em up with bean sprouts, eggs, and some kinda green onions. And peanuts! Can you believe it? Peanuts in noodles! They put all sorts of stuff in there, like beef, pig meat, chicken, that tofu stuff, or even shrimp. Shrimp, mind you! Fancy stuff, huh? You gotta pay extra for the meat and shrimp, though. Three dollars and fifty cents, they say. And if you want them little green trees, the broccoli, that’s three dollars more.
They also got this “Chinese Burrito” thing. Now, ain’t that somethin’? A burrito, but Chinese-style. They stuff it with all kinds of meats and seafood, even them shrimps again, I bet. And veggies too. All covered in some brown sauce. They call it a “total combination.” Sounds like a whole lotta food to me, a real bellyful.
Now, I heard tell they’re real proud of their food. They say it’s “handcrafted,” whatever that means. Like someone made it with their own two hands, I guess. Not a machine or nothin’. They also say the place is “relaxed.” Means you can sit down and take your time, I reckon. No need to rush. And they got “fantastic service.” That means they’re nice to ya, bring ya your food quick, and fill up your drink when it’s empty. At least, that’s what I hope it means.
Then there’s this Oolong tea business. Seems like it’s a big deal. They got different kinds, I hear. One’s called “Tie Guan Yin.” Sounds like a fancy name for tea, don’t it? They say it’s kinda thick and has a flower smell. Not like roses or nothin’, just a little bit flowery. It ain’t bitter like some teas, they say. Smoother, they call it. I ain’t no tea expert, but it sounds kinda nice, I guess. This tea, it comes from China. They even got a story ’bout it, somethin’ ’bout a black dragon. Don’t ask me, I just heard it from someone else.
Oolong, the name itself, it means somethin’ about a black dragon, like I said. I don’t know why they call a restaurant and a tea that, but it sounds kinda mysterious, doesn’t it? Maybe the food’s got a kick like a dragon, or maybe the tea’s strong enough to wake up a dragon. Who knows? All I know is folks seem to like it. This Oolong place, wherever it is. Texas, California, who can keep track? They got these places all over, I reckon.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know ’bout this Oolong restaurant and tea. Sounded interesting enough to talk about, didn’t it? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself some supper. Probably ain’t gonna be no fancy Chinese burrito, though. Just good ol’ fashioned grub.
