That there rabbit, Oolong, was somethin’ else. He was a pancake rabbit, they called him. I seen pictures. He was famous, you know. He could balance a pancake on his head, that rabbit could. Folks from all over used to see him on that there picture box, the internet.

Oolong the Pancake Rabbit

He was born back in ninety-four, that Oolong. July twenty-eighth, I believe it was. And he lived till two thousand and three. That’s a good long life for a rabbit. Not like some of them bunnies you see out in the field. They don’t always last so long, what with the foxes and all.

This fella, Akutagawa, he was the one who had Oolong. Took pictures of him every day. Showed ’em off to everybody. That’s how that pancake rabbit got so famous. Folks just loved to see him, balanced those pancakes. That Oolong had real talent, I reckon.
