Okay, so I recently got into this whole Oolong thing. Not the tea, mind you, but the band. Yeah, apparently, there’s a band called Oolong, and they’re from Long Island, New York. Who knew, right? Anyway, I stumbled upon them online, and their music is this crazy mix of emo, math rock, and punk. I got hooked.

First, I just listened to their music. Then I started digging around to see if they were playing anywhere near me. This band is like this underground gem. I went down this rabbit hole of finding tour dates and stuff.

• I started checking all these concert listing websites.
• I found out they are actually touring.
• Then I looked up videos of their live shows.

They’ve got like 24 concerts scheduled across two countries in 2024-2025, which is pretty wild. I was hoping they’d be playing close by, but no such luck. But man, those live videos are insane. They have so much energy on stage. It looks like a blast. The fans love them!

So, after watching a bunch of videos, I decided to check out their merch. I saw that they had these limited edition black tapes. They were selling them on some website called Fragile Records. It says there are only 25 of them, and I had to get one. They were available on the 29th of November, so I marked my calendar and set a reminder on my phone.

The Day I Bought the Tape

On the 29th, I was ready. I jumped on my computer and went to the website. I bought a tape for myself. It was pretty easy.

Now, I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’m super excited to hold an actual physical tape of this band I just discovered. It’s like a treasure from the underground music scene. This whole experience has been a wild ride, from discovering their music to getting one of their limited-edition tapes. I’m telling you, you gotta check out Oolong. They’re the real deal, even if I haven’t seen them live yet. This band’s got something special, and I’m here for it.
