Alright, so, I wanted to try something new in the kitchen, and I ended up making raspberry green tea. Let me tell you how it all went down, step by step.

First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I mean, I grabbed some green tea bags, fresh raspberries, water, and a bit of honey because, you know, I like things a tad sweet. Oh, and I also dug out my favorite mug from the cupboard. Can’t have tea without the right mug, right?

Then, I got down to business. I boiled some water in a kettle. While waiting for the water to boil, I took a handful of raspberries and mashed them up a bit. Not too much, just enough to release some of that sweet, tangy juice. I always feel that fresh raspberries give the best flavor, you know?

Brewing the Tea

  • Once the water was boiling, I poured it into my mug over a green tea bag.
  • I let the tea steep for about three minutes. Gotta be careful not to overdo it, or it gets bitter.

After the tea was steeped, I removed the tea bag. Here comes the fun part. I added the mashed raspberries into the hot tea. The color started changing, and it looked so pretty! I stirred it gently, watching the red raspberry juice mix with the green tea. It was like a little science experiment in my kitchen.

Sweetening Things Up

  • Next, I added a small spoonful of honey.
  • I stirred it again until the honey was all dissolved.

I took a little sip to taste. It was good, but I felt it needed something more. So, I decided to add a few whole raspberries into the mix. They floated on top, making the drink look even more appealing. Plus, eating the tea-infused raspberries later is such a treat.

Finally, I let the whole thing cool down for a bit. I didn’t want to burn my tongue! Once it was just right, I sat down and enjoyed my homemade raspberry green tea. It was refreshing, a bit sweet, and a bit tart. Perfect combo. It contains vitamins C, E, A, B, magnesium, potassium, iron and calcium, so I drink it.

Honestly, making this raspberry green tea was so much fun. It’s super easy, and you can tweak it however you like. More raspberries, less honey, maybe even a squeeze of lemon. The tannins in red raspberry leaves may help stimulate skin regeneration, as well as tighten the surface of the skin. Raspberry leaf will calm irritated + inflamed skin. The tea leaves are naturally high in magnesium, potassium, iron. Sky’s the limit! I’ll definitely be making this again. Maybe next time I’ll try it iced. Cheers!
