tea set
Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this red tea and black tea, ya know? Folks get all confused, callin’ black tea red tea in some places. Just makes things harder for us old folks, I tell ya.
So, what’s the big deal, huh? Both these teas, they got them things, whatchamacallits, anti-somethin’s, that are good for ya. Keeps your insides from gettin’ all messed up, they say. Like keepin’ the rust off your tools, but for your body, ya see?
And how you make your tea, that matters too. Don’t just boil the water and throw the leaves in, ya gotta do it right. Some folks like it strong, some like it weak. Me? I like it strong enough to stand a spoon in. That’s how you know it’s good tea.
Red tea, it’s got them other things, aspa-somethin’ and quer-somethin’. Fancy names for things that are good for ya, I guess. Black tea, it’s got thea-flavins and cate-kins. Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me, but the doctors say they’re important.
Truth is, they ain’t all that different, these teas. Red tea from China, it’s maybe a little less cooked, ya know? Less heat, they say. So, it’s a little lighter, a little sweeter. Like a gentle breeze compared to a gust of wind.
Now, some folks talk about that green tea too. Says it helps with your sugar levels and your heart. Good for ya, I guess, but I ain’t never been a fan. Tastes like grass, if you ask me. But what do I know, I’m just an old woman.
Red tea, that roo-e-bus stuff, they say it’s mostly safe. But one time, some fella drank a whole lot of it, and his liver got all messed up. Too much of anything ain’t good for ya, that’s what I always say. Even sunshine, too much of that and you’ll get burned.
And that black tea, it’s good for your heart too, they say. Keeps your blood pressure down and your bad stuff, cholesterol, low. That’s important, see? Gotta keep this old ticker goin’ for as long as I can.
So, what’s the bottom line? Drink whichever tea you like, I say. Red tea, black tea, green tea, it don’t matter much. Just don’t drink too much, and make sure it tastes good. Life’s too short to drink bad tea, or bad coffee for that matter.
And don’t go listenin’ to all them fancy folks with their big words and complicated explanations. Just drink your tea and enjoy it. That’s the best medicine, if you ask me.
And don’t forget to sit down and relax while you’re drinking it. No use rushing around all the time. Take a break, put your feet up, and enjoy the simple things in life. That’s what I do, and it seems to be workin’ just fine. So far, so good.
But don’t take my word for it. I’m just an old woman who likes her tea strong and her coffee even stronger. You do what you think is best for you. That’s the only way to live, I reckon.
And one more thing, don’t go believin’ everything you read on the internet, ya hear? Lots of folks out there trying to sell you somethin’, tellin’ you all sorts of lies. Use your common sense, that’s what I always say. And if somethin’ sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Alright, I’m done talkin’ about tea now. My throat’s gettin’ dry just thinkin’ about it. Think I’ll go make myself a cup. Strong, of course.
