Okay, so I saw this “Red, White, and Blue Tea” thing trending, and I figured, why not? I love a good themed drink, and this one looked pretty simple. Plus, I had most of the stuff already.

Getting Started

First, I needed to gather my ingredients. Here’s what I grabbed:

  • Some butterfly pea flower tea bags (that’s the blue part, apparently)
  • Cranberry juice or other red juice.
  • Lemonade or some kind of clearish, sweet drink.
  • Ice, ice, baby!

Brewing and Building

I brewed the butterfly pea tea first. I just followed the instructions on the box – steeped it in hot water for like 5 minutes. It turned this crazy, vibrant blue color, which was pretty cool. Then, I let that cool down completely. Gotta have patience!

Once the tea was cool, I grabbed a tall glass and filled it with ice. Then came the layering, which was the trickiest part. I poured in the cranberry juice first, going slow to keep it at the bottom. I use a spoon to make every layer seperated.

Next, I very carefully added the lemonade. The key here is to pour it really slowly, like over the back of a spoon, so it doesn’t mix with the red. It mostly worked, though there was a little bit of blending. No biggie.

Finally, I did the same thing with the blue tea, pouring it super slow over the lemonade. Again, a little mixing happened, but I still got those distinct layers. Success!

The Final Result

Honestly, it looked pretty awesome! I added a little lemon slice for garnish, just to be fancy. It tasted…okay. It was basically a mix of cranberry, lemonade, and a hint of that floral tea. Refreshing, but nothing mind-blowing.

But, I am also satisfied with my handcraft, and it deserve a photo and a share in social medias.
