Okay, so today I decided to try out this Rishi Sencha Green Tea everyone’s been talking about. I’ve always been more of a coffee person, but hey, why not try something new, right?

Getting Started

First things first, I had to get my hands on this tea. I just went to the local grocery store and found it in the tea aisle. It wasn’t hard to spot, the packaging is pretty distinctive. I grabbed a box, it wasn’t too expensive, so that was a plus.

Brewing the Tea

Next up, brewing. I boiled some water in my trusty old kettle. While waiting, I checked the instructions on the box, seems pretty straightforward. Once the water was boiling, I poured it over a tea bag in my favorite mug.

  • Boil water
  • Place tea bag in mug
  • Pour hot water over tea bag

The box said to let it steep for about two to three minutes. I followed that, I mean, they are the experts, right? I set a timer on my phone to make sure I didn’t overdo it, I’ve heard that can make tea bitter.

Tasting Time

After the wait, I took the tea bag out and gave it a sniff. It smelled pretty fresh and grassy, not bad. I took a sip. Hmm, it was kind of mild and smooth. Not what I expected, but in a good way! There was a slight sweetness to it, and yeah, that grassy flavor was definitely there.

My Thoughts

Honestly, it was a nice change from my usual coffee routine. It felt lighter, and I didn’t get that jittery feeling I sometimes get from too much caffeine. I tried it again a few more times throughout the week, both in the morning and in the afternoon. I think I actually prefer it as an afternoon pick-me-up. It’s refreshing and doesn’t mess with my sleep.

Final Verdict

So, would I recommend Rishi Sencha Green Tea? Yeah, I think I would. It’s a good, solid green tea. Nothing too fancy, but it does the job. It’s a great option if you’re looking to cut back on coffee or just want to try something different. I might even buy another box when this one runs out. Who knows, maybe I’m turning into a tea person after all!
