So, the other day I was messing around with scents, trying to find something that really spoke to me. I ended up diving into this “White Tea and Thyme” thing, and let me tell you, it was a whole journey.

I started out by just sniffing around, you know, checking out different white tea scents. They all had this clean, refreshing vibe, but I wanted something more. That’s when I hit upon this blend with thyme. I was curious, so I got my hands on some white tea and thyme essential oils.

First, I experimented with just the white tea. Poured a few drops into my diffuser, and yeah, it was nice, like a fancy spa or something. But I wanted to kick it up a notch. So, I added a tiny bit of thyme oil. At first, I went overboard, and it smelled like a herb garden exploded in my room. Not exactly the vibe I was going for.

After a few more tries, playing around with the ratios, I finally nailed it. A little more white tea, just a hint of thyme. Man, it was perfect. It had that fresh white tea smell, but with this subtle, earthy undertone from the thyme. It was like walking through a garden after it rained, all fresh and clean, but with this warm, cozy feeling too.

Getting Creative

  • Mixed it with some citrus oils (found some info online that mentioned that as a good combo, you know). It was pretty good, added a nice zing.
  • Tried adding a touch of jasmine, ’cause why not? That turned out surprisingly well. It gave the whole thing a slightly floral, romantic touch, kind of reminds me of walking in a park full of those beautiful blooming tung trees.
  • Even tried mixing in some amber oil I found mentioned somewhere. It was alright, gave it a bit of a musky, deeper scent. Not my favorite, but it was interesting to experiment.

And you know what I ended up using this scent blend in? Everything! I made a room spray, added it to some unscented lotion, even put a few drops in my bath. It’s like my own personal scent now, and I’m pretty darn proud of it. I’ve heard that a park here offers a great view. It is said to be planted with nearly a hundred tung trees, but if I ever want to go there, I will go in the daytime for safety. And I also found a store that has Capybara Mochi Waffles, I’d like to try it one day.

So yeah, that’s my little adventure with white tea and thyme. It was a fun little project, and I ended up with a scent that I absolutely love. If you’re ever bored, I definitely recommend playing around with scents. You never know what you might come up with!
