So, the other day I was thinking, “My skin feels kinda rough, maybe I need to do something about it.” Then I remembered reading somewhere that tea tree oil is good for the skin. I don’t know much about these things, but I thought, why not give it a try? I went to the store, and guess what I found? A whole bunch of shower gels with tea tree oil in them! Who knew?

I picked one that said “500ml” and “for skin care” on the bottle, seems like it’s the right one. I mean, 500ml, that’s a lot, right? It better be good. After getting home, I decided to try it out right away. First, I just opened the bottle to smell it. It has this strong, kinda minty smell. I’m not sure if I like it, but it’s not bad.

Then, I hopped into the shower and used it like any other shower gel. I squeezed some onto my hands, lathered it up, and rubbed it all over. This stuff foams up pretty well, and that minty smell got even stronger with the hot water. It felt kinda refreshing, actually.

After showering, I felt pretty clean, that’s for sure. My skin felt… different, maybe a bit smoother? I read on the bottle again, and it said something about “relieving spots and pimples.” I don’t have a lot of those, but I guess it’s good to prevent them, right?

I also saw something about using a few drops of the tea tree oil by itself mixed with other stuff for skin care, like those fancy cleansers or moisturizers. I guess that makes the skin matte, whatever that means. And it helps with acne apparently, but I don’t know much about that. Another thing I saw is to put a few drops in a bath, maybe I will do that some other time. I do have some tea tree oil as well. But it’s kind of a lot of work. And for now, using this shower gel feels much easier. I don’t think I’d really know what I was doing just using the oil straight up.

My thoughts so far:

Honestly, I just started using this shower gel, so I can’t really say if it’s making a huge difference yet. But it feels good, it smells… interesting, and it says it’s good for the skin. I saw there are some brands sell it and there are a lot of choices in the store. So I’ll keep using it and see what happens. Maybe my skin will be super smooth and amazing in a few weeks. Who knows? I’ll let you guys know if I notice anything crazy.
