green tea
Alright, let’s talk about this… this… sparkly green tea, yeah? Never heard of such a thing ‘til recently, but the young’uns are all about it, so I figured, why not give it a whirl?
First off, what IS it? Well, it ain’t rocket science, that’s for sure. It’s just green tea, ya know, the kind you drink, but with bubbles. Like them fizzy drinks the kids love, but maybe a bit healthier? At least that’s what they tell me. It’s green tea mixed with bubbly water, or sometimes other fizzy stuff like lemonade. Fancy, huh?
Now, why all the fuss? They say it’s good for ya. Something about “anti-oxy… anti-oxy…” somethin’ or other. Antioxidants, that’s it! They say it fights off the bad stuff in your body, keeps ya healthy. Keeps your heart pumpin’ and your blood flowin’. Sounds good to me, I ain’t gettin’ any younger, you know. My old bones need all the help they can get.
I heard someone jabberin’ on about “cate… cate…” somethin’ in green tea. Catechins! Yeah, those things are supposed to be real good for ya, fightin’ off all sorts of nasty stuff. And the matcha kind, that fancy green powder? Even better, they say. More of those “cate” things, and fiber too! Helps ya go to the bathroom, if you know what I mean. Important when you get to be my age, lemme tell ya.
So, how do ya make this sparkly green tea? Well, you can buy it ready-made, but that’s expensive. I ain’t made of money! You can make it yourself, easy peasy. Brew some green tea, strong or weak, however you like it. Let it cool down, don’t wanna burn your tongue! Then, get some bubbly water. You know, the stuff in them bottles. Mix ‘em together, and there ya go! Sparkly green tea! You can add some lemon juice if you like, or maybe a bit of honey if you got a sweet tooth.
Some folks use them fancy machines to make the bubbly water, but I ain’t got one of those. Too complicated for an old lady like me. Bottled stuff works just fine. And listen, you don’t need to get all fancy with the tea either. The cheap stuff works just as good, far as I can tell.
Now, does it taste good? Well, that depends. If you like green tea, you’ll probably like it. The bubbles make it a little different, a little more… festive, I guess. It’s refreshing, especially on a hot day. Better than them sugary sodas, that’s for sure. Those things will rot your teeth and make ya fat. Not good, not good at all.
I’ve been drinkin’ this sparkly green tea for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, I feel alright. Maybe a little more pep in my step. Maybe it’s all in my head, but hey, if it makes me feel good, I’ll keep drinkin’ it. Can’t hurt, right? And it’s a heck of a lot better than plain water all the time. Water’s good for ya, but sometimes ya just need somethin’ with a little… zip!
So, there you have it. Sparkly green tea, according to me. It’s easy to make, it’s supposed to be healthy, and it tastes pretty good. Give it a try, what have ya got to lose? Maybe you’ll like it, maybe you won’t. But at least you can say you tried it. And that’s more than most folks can say, you know?
And another thing, don’t go believin’ everything them young’uns tell ya about this stuff. They get all excited about the latest trends, but common sense still counts for somethin’. If it tastes bad, don’t drink it. If it makes you feel funny, stop drinkin’ it. Listen to your body, it knows what’s best. That’s what my mama always told me, and she was a wise woman.
So that’s the long and short of it. Go make yourself some sparkly green tea, and see what all the fuss is about. You might just find yourself a new favorite drink.
