green tea
Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try making sparkling white tea at home for a while now. It just sounds so refreshing, and I figured it’d be way cheaper than buying it all the time. So, I finally gave it a shot – here’s how it went down.
First, I needed to get my hands on some decent white tea. I didn’t want anything fancy, just some basic loose leaf stuff. I grabbed a bag from the grocery store, nothing too crazy.
I boiled some * I took a big glass jar and threw in a few heaping spoonfuls of the white tea leaves. Once the water was boiling, I poured it over the leaves, filling the jar up pretty high. I just eyeballed all of this.
I put a lid on and let that sit for about 5 minutes or so. I really love the time with tea.
After that five minutes, I needed to cool down my tea. I prepared an ice box then I put the tea in it.
This is where the “sparkling” part comes in. I grabbed a bottle of plain sparkling water. Once the tea was good and cold, I poured some of the sparkling water into the jar, leaving a bit of room at the top.
Stirred it gently with a spoon to mix it all up.
Finally, I got a glass with some ice and poured my sparkling white tea over it. Perfect for a chill afternoon!
It was super easy! I think I might try adding a slice of lemon or some berries next time, just to jazz it up a bit. This one is done!
