black tea
Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Teavana Earl Grey black tea, the way I see it. Now, I ain’t no fancy tea expert or nothin’, but I know what I likes, and this here tea, well, it’s somethin’ else.
First off, they say it’s “full-bodied.” I ain’t sure what that means exactly, but I reckon it means it’s strong, you know? Like a good cup of coffee, but tea. It’s got this dark color, like the dirt after a good rain, and it smells…well, it smells kinda flowery, but not too much. They call it “bergamot,” I think. Sounds fancy, but it just smells nice to me.
And there’s somethin’ else in there too, a little bit of lavender, they say. Now, lavender, that’s the stuff they put in them little bags to make your drawers smell good. But in this tea, it ain’t too strong, just a little hint. And spearmint too! Imagine that, all mixed together. It’s like a whole garden in a cup!
This here tea, it ain’t just plain old tea, you see. It’s got a little somethin’ extra. It’s like when you add a pinch of sugar to your cornbread, just makes it a little bit better. That’s what that bergamot and lavender do, I reckon.
I heard tell that Starbucks bought this Teavana company a while back. Starbucks, that’s the place where them city folk go to get their fancy coffees. They closed down all the Teavana stores, but you can still find some of their teas at Starbucks, this Earl Grey included. Lucky for us, I say.
Now, I ain’t a doctor or nothin’, but I heard tell that this tea is good for you. They say it’s got these things called “polyphenols” in it, whatever those are. Supposed to help keep you healthy, fight off them nasty sicknesses. Well, I don’t know about all that, but it sure makes me feel good when I drink it. Warms me up on a cold day, makes me feel a little bit more awake.
I like to drink it in the mornin’, gets me goin’. But it’s good in the afternoon too, when you need a little pick-me-up. And you know what? It’s even good cold, on a hot day. Just brew it up strong, let it cool down, and pour it over some ice. Add a little bit of lemon if you want, makes it even better. This tea is versatile, just like a good old cast iron skillet. You can use it for just about anything.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good cup of tea, somethin’ a little bit different, somethin’ with a little bit of kick, I say give this Teavana Earl Grey black tea a try. It ain’t the cheapest stuff on the shelf, but it’s worth it, I reckon. It’s a good, honest tea, and that’s all that matters to me. You don’t need to be a fancy pants to enjoy it, just a good ol’ fashioned cup will do ya.
And let me tell ya, it’s always fresh when ya get it, not like some of that stuff that’s been sittin’ on the shelf for ages. They say it’s never close to expiring, and that’s a good thing in my book. Nobody wants stale tea, that’s for sure.
So there ya have it, my two cents on this Teavana Earl Grey black tea. It’s good stuff, plain and simple. Go on and try it, you might just like it.
