It keeps the table from gettin’ all messed up with tea spills and heat marks. You can set your hot cup right down on it, no problem.

I seen them in stores, all kinds. Some are plain white tea cups, nothin’ fancy. Some got gold around the edges, lookin’ all spiffy. Some even come in a nice box, like a present. I seen ’em called “Royal Tea Cups” too, soundin’ all highfalutin. And they ain’t always called “tea cups”. I seen “Cappuccino Cups” and “Latte Cups”. It’s all the same thing to me, just a cup for a hot drink.

I saw them white tea cups and saucers on that Amazon website. My neighbor, she’s always buyin’ stuff online. She showed me, and there were pages of ’em! All kinds of white tea cups. Some had little flowers, some were just plain. You could get a whole set of them tea cups and saucers, enough for a party.

They even got them at Walmart, if you can believe it. Them big stores, they got everything. I saw a big white teapot there once, too. It said “STEEP” on it. I guess that’s what you do with tea, you steep it. You pour hot water over them tea leaves and let it sit a spell.

But you know what some folks say? They say real tea, it’s gotta be made in a teapot. Not just hot water in a cup. I guess that makes sense. You want all that tea flavor to get out into the water. And a white tea cup, well, it just makes it feel a little more special, I suppose.

And Target, too! I saw that red bullseye sign and they got a whole bunch of them white tea cups set. You wouldn’t believe how many kinds there are. Little ones, big ones, all different shapes. Some are just plain, nothin’ special. Others got fancy designs, cost a bit more, I reckon.

I saw some of them white tea cup and saucer sets, they had six cups and six saucers. That’s a lot of tea drinkin’! And they had this gold line around the handle. Looked real fancy, like somethin’ the Queen would use. They called it a “Tea Party” set. I guess if you’re gonna have a tea party, you need a lot of cups.

They got these cups for $9.99, some of ’em. That ain’t too bad. But then I saw some for $21.99, and even some for $39.99! Can you believe that? For a cup! I guess some folks got more money than sense. But hey, if they wanna spend their money on fancy tea cup and saucer white, that’s their business.

Now, I ain’t got no fancy white tea cups. I just use a regular old mug. But I do like a nice cup of tea. And if I had one of them pretty white tea cups and saucers, I reckon I’d feel a little bit fancy myself. Maybe I’ll get me one someday. When I win the lottery, haha!
