So, I decided to make my own tea tree oil body wash the other day. I had heard some good things about tea tree oil and wanted to try it out.

Getting Started

First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. I already had some tea tree oil at home, and I picked up a bottle of plain, unscented body wash from the store. I also grabbed a bowl and a spoon for mixing.

Mixing It Up

I poured some of the body wash into the bowl. I didn’t really measure it, just eyeballed it to about a cup or so. Then, I added a few drops of the tea tree oil. I started with just a little bit, maybe five or six drops, because I heard that tea tree oil can be pretty strong and I didn’t want it to irritate me and my skin.

I mixed it all up with the spoon until it looked like it was well combined. It was a little foamy, but that was okay.

Testing It Out

I took the mixture into the shower with me to test it out. I wet my skin and started to lather up with the tea tree oil body wash. It felt pretty much like regular body wash, maybe a little bit more tingly because of the tea tree oil.

  • The Smell: The smell was pretty strong. Not bad, just very… tea tree-ish. Kind of like a mix between mint and something medicinal. I will use less next time.
  • The Feel: It felt nice on my skin. It was refreshing and kind of invigorating. My skin felt clean and smooth afterward.

Final Thoughts

I have to say, I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. It was super easy to make, and it felt great on my skin. I think I might keep using this for a while. Maybe I will experiment with adding other essential oils to the mix. But I will definitely use it again. If you are looking for a new body wash, you should give this a try!

I saw some fancy body washes with tea tree oil selling for like twenty bucks a bottle online. But making it myself? Super cheap and easy. I just used that plain body wash I got for a few dollars and the tea tree oil I already had. It’s totally worth trying if you’re into that natural, do-it-yourself kind of stuff, or if you just want to save some money. Plus, you can adjust how much tea tree oil you put in. Start with just a little if you’re worried about it being too strong.
